What to Do
Wear old work clothes, long pants, hat, boots or sturdy shoes, bring sunscreen, and your favorite pair of gardening gloves! We will provide tools and water.
Directions: From San Diego, take I-5 to the Palm Ave/CA-75 exit (exit 5A). Head west on Palm Ave/CA-75N as it continues up the strand and becomes Silver Strand Blvd. The work site will be on the right, about a half mile north of the first parking lot (you can park here and walk ½ mile north on bike path to access the work site). If you’re coming directly from Coronado, take Silver Strand Boulevard south for about 7 miles. Drive past the work site, make a u-turn at Rainbow Drive and head north on Silver Strand Blvd until you reach the work site. See Google map here.
Parking: Limited parking is available in the lot south of the work site. Parking will also be available in the Coronado Cays, located 1.5 miles north of Emory Cove. Exit Coronado Cays lvd and take a right after the security entrance (no check-in necessary). Follow Coronado Cays Blvd south ½ mile and take a right on Mardi Gras Rd. Follow this to the end and park where permitted. Access the Bayshore bike path via the small gate located at the end (to the west) of Mardi Gras Rd. Walk south on the bike path about ½ mile until you reach the work site.
