Emory Cove off Silver Strand
The San Diego Oceans Foundation invites volunteers to help restore sensitive coastal habitat in San Diego Bay. In collaboration with the San Diego Audubon Society and the Port of San Diego, we removed invasive plant species and re-planted native plants. Since then we have been helping to water the plants to help ensure their survival. We need to continue watering and monitoring our recently planted plants at Emory Cove to create enhanced feeding and resting grounds for our feathered friends. You do not need any prior experience, just a willingness to get your hands dirty!
We will provide all tools and water. Please bring sunscreen, clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty, a hat, and your favorite pair of gardening gloves.
